#reverb11, December 5 to 10

All from Yoga Freedom.

December 10 – Ananda (Joy)
A positive frame of mind is a habit. How have you silenced the propaganda factory of negativity with positive thought and behavior in your life in 2011? How has this changed your day-to-day being?
Here’s my recipe: wake up every morning and whisper a thank you prayer… close the day by writing in a journal and including 3 things I’m thankful about (tend to end up with more than 3, and that’s brilliant). Say yes and don’t be afraid to try something new. Happiness abounds.

December 9 – Listo (Resourcefulness)
How resourceful were you in 2011? What new ways could you incorporate resourcefulness into 2012?
I got pretty good since I moved to Switzerland. I’m just going to face whatever happens!

December 8 – Dharma (The Path)
Wandering can be good for the over-focused creative. How did you wander well this year?
Being in (a) new city (ies) give(s) excellent opportunities to wander.

December 7 – Tranquilo (Calm)
Sometimes the most beautiful, memorable moments are also the quietest. What quiet, beautiful moment do you recall?
Being in his embrace.

December 6 – Salud (Health)
What did you do for your body’s benefit this year?
Definitely ate a whole lot better and walked a whole lot more.

December 5 – Sueño (Dream)
What was your dream come true in 2011? What is your wildest dream for 2012?
To live in a country in Europe… and I’m keeping the dream for 2012 a secret 😉

#reverb11, December 4

From Yoga Freedom December 4 – Guru (Teacher)
What was the most important lesson you learned about yourself in 2011? Was it a sudden epiphany or a gradual realization?

The most important one is that I can do far more than I thought I could… I just need to push myself a little harder! I guess this was a gradual realization of some sort 🙂

#reverb11, December 3

From Yoga Freedom: December 3 – Anicca (Impermanence)
What did you let go of this year? Whom did you let go?

Hmmm… hmmm… hmm… (sometimes it’s better NOT to write something out on the web ;))
also let go of a lot of fears, now that’s a good thing!

From Sarah & Meredith: December 3 – Celebration
What did you celebrate this year? What do you hope to celebrate next year?

My graduation. My being in Switzerland. Several birthdays 🙂
As for next year, I hope to celebrate EVERY DAY!!

#reverb11 — December 2

Why I didn’t do this on December 2 is beyond me. But anyways.

From Mary Churchill: December 2 – Alignment.

Where did 2011 begin? How did this year’s accomplishment line up with last year’s goals? What did you accomplish?

I did sort of answered the first part of this question on the December 1st post, so on to the next question.
According to a little note I made on my iPod, I had 3 goals for 2011. Achieved 2 of them… and am hopeful that the 3rd might be achieved before the end of the year.
I graduated; I did a lot of things, many for the first time; I’m living and working in a foreign country (and loving it!); I’m very much content.

#Reverb11, prompts for December 1st

Since I’m only a day behind, let’s start with December 1st

From Sarah & Meredith: Humble beginnings
Where did 2011 begin for you?  Describe where you were – be it physically, emotionally, or otherwise.

I would have referred to my diary but I don’t have it here with me, so we’ll have to do with the few blogposts I have. I was finishing up my theological studies, just starting to write my thesis to be exact, was busy with different “pastoral” duties, and beginning a certain emotional decline… oh, and I was very much preoccupied with my brand new iPod, I believe. LOL.

From Yoga Freedom: Palabra (Word)
Encapsulate your 2011 in one word. Why that word? What would you like your word to be for 2012? Why?

JOURNEY. Because it was exactly what 2011 has been, a journey. One that got pretty bad somewhere in the middle, but now I see the light again 🙂 — for 2012, I would say HAPPY. For a pretty obvious reason.

Strangely enough, the other two prompts are similar to the above two, so I’ll leave it at that.

#Reverb11, introduction

I was randomly going through my old blogposts and found my posts for #reverb10, and realizing that today is the 2nd of December, I tried to find prompts for #reverb11. Sadly, I figured out that the people behind #reverb10 aren’t going to put up prompts for this year. However, I found at least 4 different websites hosting #reverb11 prompts, namely from Yoga Freedom, Mary Churchill, Kaileen Elise and Sarah & Meredith because Gwen Bell, the original creator, had sent out a message that everyone is invited to create their own reverb this year.

Now the question is: which prompts will I follow?

Or maybe… how about doing all four?? Probably not that good of an idea, but I might do it anyway. In the spirit of my latest “mantra”: pourquoi pas?
